Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd is seeking an experienced Interim Building Surveyor to join our client base across the UK. The role involves property inspections, condition surveys and advising on repairs within local government and public sector assets.

You will manage planned and reactive maintenance, oversee contractors, and ensure compliance with building regulations. A UK driving licence and MRICS or equv preferred are desirable.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Building Surveying or related discipline.
• Experience in Local Government, Housing Associations, NHS, Education, or Public Sector.
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking property inspections and condition surveys
• Identifying and specifying repairs and maintenance works
• Producing schedules of work and technical specifications
• Managing planned and reactive maintenance projects
• Overseeing contractors and monitoring project delivery
• Ensuring compliance with building regulations and statutory requirements
• Conducting defect diagnosis and preparing detailed reports
• Supporting capital works, refurbishment, and improvement programmes
• Providing technical advice to internal stakeholders and residents
