Job summary

PM Consultancy is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to join its London team on a hybrid basis. The role covers surveys, professional instructions and project management across commercial, public sector and institutional properties.

The successful candidate will hold MRICS status (or working towards it), possess a Building Surveying degree, and bring extensive experience in condition surveys, dilapidations, and contract administration under JCT contracts, with UK safety compliance knowledge.

Qualifications

• MRICS status or working towards it.
• Degree in Building Surveying or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in professional and project Building Surveying.
• Strong knowledge of construction technology and building pathology.
• Experience with condition surveys, PPM, and due diligence.
• Experience preparing Schedules of Condition and Dilapidations.
• Experience managing refurbishment, maintenance or reinstatement projects.
• Knowledge of JCT contracts and contract administration.
• Understanding of UK Building Regulations and CDM Regulations.
• Experience across commercial, public sector or institutional projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a broad range of professional and project Building Surveying services.
• Undertake surveys: condition, measured and PPM surveys.
• Provide pathology assessments and advise on defects and remedial works.
• Prepare client reports, schedules and technical documentation.
• Lead on feasibility studies, scoping and due diligence for clients.
• Manage refurbishment, maintenance and reinstatement projects from inception to completion.
• Act as Contract Administrator and Employer's Agent under UK contracts.
• Ensure compliance with CDM and health and safety requirements.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and support growth of the team.
