Job summary

Boots UK is recruiting Independent Prescribing Pharmacists for a permanent hybrid role in Musselburgh. You will work three days remotely as part of the Boots Online Doctor team and two days in Boots Healthcare Centres, delivering digital healthcare alongside in-person care.

The role combines independent prescribing with clinical care, enabling flexible service delivery across digital and physical settings while supporting patient access and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• GPhC registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Recognised Independent Prescribing qualification
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Confidence to work autonomously within your scope of practice
• Excellent consultation and communication skills, both remotely and face-to-face
• Passion for delivering brilliant patient care
• Confidence across digital and in-person healthcare environments
• Flexibility to work every other weekend as part of contracted hours

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality remote consultations and clinical assessments.
• Make evidence-based prescribing decisions within your scope of practice.
• Provide appropriate treatment, advice, safety-netting and onward referral.
• Deliver face-to-face clinical and pharmacy services within a Boots Healthcare Centre.
• Assess, treat and support patients using your Independent Prescribing qualification.
• Collaborate with Pharmacists, Prescribers and wider healthcare teams to deliver a seamless patient experience.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, clinical governance and professional practice.
• Support the continued growth and development of our digital and Healthcare Centre services.
