Job summary

Jacobs in the UK is seeking Hydraulic Engineers at all levels to deliver critical water and wastewater infrastructure across the country, supporting major investment programmes and sustainable outcomes.

You’ll work across feasibility, detailed design, construction and commissioning, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and regulators, and developing your expertise toward chartership.

Qualifications

• Experience in the UK water industry.
• Strong hydraulic engineering and design knowledge.
• Experience using hydraulic modelling software such as HADES, WinHydro, SWMM, or similar.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and confidently.
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or actively working towards professional accreditation.
• For senior roles, experience leading hydraulic studies and supporting the development of others.

Responsibilities

• Deliver water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the UK lifecycle (feasibility to commissioning).
• Support major investment programmes and sustainability objectives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and regulators.
• Lead hydraulic studies for senior roles and mentor colleagues.
• Contribute to design reviews and technical guidance.
