Job summary

Jacobs UK is seeking Hydraulic Engineers to deliver critical water infrastructure across the full project lifecycle—from feasibility and detailed design through to construction and commissioning—supporting major investment programmes with resilience and sustainability.

You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, work on water and wastewater facilities, pumping stations, pipelines and CSOs, and benefit from flexible working arrangements, ongoing professional development, and clear pathways

Qualifications

• Experience within the UK water industry.
• Strong hydraulic engineering and design knowledge.
• Experience using hydraulic modelling software such as HADES, WinHydro, SWMM, or similar.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and confidently.
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or actively working towards professional accreditation.
• For senior roles, experience leading hydraulic studies and supporting the development of others.

Responsibilities

• Work across the full project lifecycle—from feasibility and detailed design through to construction and commissioning.
• Contribute to projects involving water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Work on pumping stations, pressurised and gravity pipelines, and CSOs.
• Engage with reservoirs, river intakes, bioresources infrastructure and major design & Build programmes.
• Be part of a collaborative team where ideas are valued and development is supported.
