Job summary

Oxford Quantum Circuits seeks a Senior HR Operations Specialist to own HR systems, payroll governance and employee data across the UK and beyond. You’ll balance day‑to‑day delivery with projects, automation and improvements to scale our People Operations function.

You’ll work closely with Finance, IT and Ops, maintaining governance, audit trails and policy documentation while driving data quality and process efficiency in a hybrid, on‑site heavy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience owning or administering HR systems within a scaling or multinational organisation.
• Experience coordinating payroll processes with Finance or external payroll providers.
• Strong track record in onboarding, offboarding and lifecycle administration.
• Ability to maintain accurate employee records, governance docs and audit trails.
• Proven capability to improve HR processes, systems or workflows for efficiency and scalability.
• Experience in regulated, audit-aware or compliance-focused environments.
• Strong HR systems administration, process-management and payroll governance skills.
• Analytical mindset with attention to data accuracy and integrity.
• Experience managing projects or workstreams with deadlines and quality standards.
• Excellent stakeholder management across People, Finance, IT and operations.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day administration, maintenance and data integrity of HR systems and tooling.
• Coordinate end-to-end payroll operations with Finance, ensuring accuracy and governance.
• Manage onboarding, offboarding and employee lifecycle processes and benefits.
• Maintain accurate records, audit trails and governance documentation.
• Draft and update People policies, process maps and procedures.
• Identify inefficiencies and introduce workflows, automation and AI-enabled improvements.
• Manage projects, vendors and compliance risks while supporting junior colleagues.
