Job summary

Alexander Mae HR Ltd is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner in Swindon to own day-to-day HR and partner with managers across the business. You will lead Employee Relations, drive performance processes and help shape talent and reward activities.

The role requires practical, commercially minded HR expertise, UK employment law knowledge and the ability to deliver training and improvements in HR delivery. Hybrid working with office presence in Swindon is offered.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent hands-on HR experience.
• Strong generalist HR experience with solid Employee Relations exposure.
• Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation.
• Experience managing absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance matters.
• Ability to coach, challenge and influence managers.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees.
• Take ownership of broad Employee Relations matters across the organisation.
• Coach managers to handle people-related challenges confidently and consistently.
• Develop and deliver practical training to strengthen management capability.
• Support the effective delivery of performance management processes.
• Contribute to talent, succession and capability planning.
• Assist with annual reward activity, including pay reviews and bonus processes.
• Review and streamline HR processes to improve efficiency.
• Use data and HR metrics to identify trends and inform decisions.
• Support HR systems and reporting, and explore tech tools to improve HR delivery.
• Provide constructive HR input into wider business decisions and leadership discussions.
