Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking an HR Advisor to join our team in Swindon on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will provide proactive, commercially-focused HR support across the business and advise managers and employees on a broad range of HR matters.

Based in Swindon, the role covers employee relations, recruitment, onboarding and HR policy development, with the chance to impact business objectives while maintaining GDPR compliance and accurate HR records.

Qualifications

• Experience in a generalist HR role, providing advice on employee relations, recruitment, HR policies and employee lifecycle activities.
• CIPD Level 3 qualified.
• Good knowledge of UK employment law, HR best practice and HR systems.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and maintain accurate records.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Professional, discreet and trusted in handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive, commercially focused HR support and guidance to managers and employees across the business.
• Support the HR Business Partner in delivering the people strategy and HR business plan.
• Advise and support managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, capability, probation and performance management cases, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policy.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, ensuring a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.
• Administer and coordinate employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, probation reviews, contractual changes and offboarding processes.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring compliance with GDPR and employment legislation.
• Produce and analyse HR metrics and management information to identify trends and support business decision-making.
• Support the development, implementation and review of HR policies, procedures and best practice.
• Lead or contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage day-to-day HR enquiries, providing timely, practical and commercially sound advice.
• Build effective working relationships across the business, promoting employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.
• Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism, discretion and integrity.
• Provide support and cover for the HR Business Partner as required.
• To support the Training & Reception Co-ordinator as required.
