Job summary

WSP is seeking an enthusiastic highway engineer for Wales (Cardiff or Wrexham). You will lead technical delivery across the project life cycle, coordinating multi-disciplinary inputs and liaising with clients to deliver strategic network improvements and road safety projects.

Depending on grade, you will oversee design teams, prepare fee proposals, and ensure compliance with CDM and applicable design standards, while benefiting from WSP’s hybrid work policy and development support.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of highway design and drainage across project life cycle.
• Experience leading design disciplines on road/public transport projects.
• Ability to interpret and apply design codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day technical delivery of highway consultancy services.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary inputs and manage project budgets.
• Lead or contribute to design drawings, specs, and tender packages.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, environmental standards and QA processes.
• Support team resource coordination and mentorship.
