Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd. is seeking an Industrial Placement student to work in the Hardware Engineering team on high-performance electronic hardware for electronic warfare solutions.

You will spend a year with multidisciplinary teams across the product lifecycle and receive a salary of £26,228. The placement is based in Luton with on-site collaboration and mentorship from experienced engineers, offering hands-on experience and a clear path to future opportunities within Leonardo's Graduate Development

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in listed engineering/STEM fields.
• Interest in electronic hardware design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and take ownership.
• Interest in lab-based engineering and testing.

Responsibilities

• Support analogue, digital, and mixed-signal hardware development.
• Assist schematic capture, circuit analysis and design.
• Support integration, verification and qualification.
• Conduct laboratory testing with specialist equipment.
• Analyse performance data and present findings.
• Collaborate with systems, firmware, software and RF engineers.
• Contribute to technical documentation and reviews.
