Job summary

Zopa is hiring a Product Manager for Unsecured Personal Loans growth in London. You will own the origination, decisioning and data-driven product journeys to determine who we can lend to and how offers are made accessible to customers.

You will work with Credit Risk, Data Science and Engineering teams to identify opportunities, shape the roadmap and deliver measurable growth while balancing risk and revenue. This hybrid role requires 2–3 days in the London office.

• You have made product decisions that delivered measurable commercial outcomes.
• You can partner closely with engineers through scope and timeline trade-offs.
• You approach ambiguous problems with sound judgement and a bias for practical progress.
• You communicate clearly with senior stakeholders across technical and risk-focused teams.
• You are motivated by growth, efficiency and business impact.
• Experience in lending, consumer credit or related financial products.
• Familiarity with originations, underwriting, pricing or servicing.
• A quantitative foundation through study or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a fast-pace, data-led fintech environment.

Responsibilities

• Own a defined area of the UPL growth roadmap, from opportunity sizing through to launch, measurement and iteration.
• Turn commercial and customer signals into a clear product strategy, choosing where to focus and what not to pursue.
• Shape the origination and decisioning experience, including the rules, journeys and data that sit behind a customer receiving a loan offer.
• Lead cross-functional discovery with Engineering, Credit Risk and Data Science to find the most valuable, feasible route to growth.
• Develop propositions that give customers greater clarity and confidence before they invest time in a full application.
• Make the call on scope and sequencing, balancing customer value, risk, commercial return and engineering effort.
• Use data to uncover friction, validate hypotheses and quantify the impact of your work.
• Bring new growth ideas into the roadmap, from smarter use of existing data to new external data sources and partner opportunities.
• Translate complex lending and technical problems into decisions that senior stakeholders can align behind.
• Build, launch and continually improve products that help Zopa move closer to becoming the UK’s leading unsecured lender.
