Job summary

Zopa is seeking a Risk Lead for Zopa for Business in London. You will lead the risk team, own partner/distributor risk, and advise senior leaders on balancing growth with risk. You will collaborate with product, engineering and risk specialists to scale risk processes and controls.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and experience building risk frameworks with cross-functional teams in a regulated environment. Hybrid work with a London office presence is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong experience leading risk, compliance, financial-crime, third-party or distribution-risk activity in regulated financial-services, fintech or payments environment.
• Sound commercial judgement and the ability to make balanced decisions in complex, fast-moving situations.
• A proven track record of designing and operating risk-based onboarding and oversight frameworks for partners, merchants, intermediaries, brokers or similar third parties.

Responsibilities

• Lead the risk function for Zopa for Business, setting operating rhythm and a culture of sound judgement.
• Own end-to-end approach to partner and distributor risk, ensuring it remains effective and fit for a growing business.
• Be a trusted adviser to business leaders, helping balance growth, customer outcomes and risk appetite.
