Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting a Supply Chain/Demand Planning Manager for a Gloucestershire site. The role combines demand planning, inventory control and supplier relations within a manufacturing context, with a hybrid work pattern (onsite 1–2 days per week).

The successful candidate will lead a small team, manage outsourced logistics partners, drive S&OP processes and deliver cost efficiencies through data-driven improvement initiatives while maintaining strong governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in demand planning, supply chain, or supply management.
• Experience managing outsourced 3PL/4PL partners with scorecards and SLAs.
• Experience with formal S&OP processes.
• Line management experience and ability to develop junior staff.
• Strong stock and inventory management, forecasting, replenishment and reconciliation.
• Numerically confident with COGS, invoices and cost data.
• Experience with international trade docs is desirable.
• Excellent Excel and Office skills; familiarity with WMS and Business Central is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing.
• Coordinate with suppliers; maintain relationships and resolve issues.
• Monitor inventory levels to meet operational demands.
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies to cut costs.
• Analyse supply chain data to identify improvements and implement changes.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align processes with business objectives.
• Prepare and present regular reports on supply chain performance to senior management.
