Job summary

The National Archives in the United Kingdom is seeking a proactive Grant Development Officer to support the development of grant-funded projects, partnerships and fellowships. Working with the Grant Development Manager and Head of Grant Development, you will contribute to grant fundraising and expand our grant-winning capability.

You will manage a varied portfolio, collaborate with specialists across the institution, and help with pre-award processes, budgeting and communications.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level education or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of grant funding in the research and/or cultural heritage sectors.
• High level of numeracy for budgeting and financial processing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good judgement and the ability to work with line managers when needed.

Responsibilities

• Support grant fundraising, project development and partnerships across the grants portfolio.
• Assist in pre-award processes, budgeting and financial compliance for bids.
• Lead and coordinate communications and events to promote funding opportunities.
• Maintain accurate filing and documentation for grant development activities.
• Support reporting and evaluation of grant activity to senior leadership.
