Job summary

The National Archives in Kew seeks a Grant Development Officer to support grant fundraising and the development of grant-funded projects and partnerships. Working with the Grant Development Manager, you will assist with bid development, pre-award processes, and communication with funders.

You will help with budgeting, financial processing, and reporting, coordinating internal processes, and ensuring compliance with funders' requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level education or equivalent experience, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• An understanding of grant funding in the research and/or cultural heritage sectors.
• High level of numeracy for budgeting and financial processing.
• Strong time management skills, with ability to prioritise tasks within a shifting workload and manage conflicting demands.

Responsibilities

• Proactively support the Grant Development Team in management of grant applications from ideation to submission to funders.
• Conduct prospect research, identify new funders and opportunities, and communicate them across the organisation.
• Manage the pre-award process, collate documentation, and provide guidance on project design and delivery.
• Lead the administration of pre-award processes, ensuring timely guidance and documentation for applicants.
