Job summary

A globally recognised design consultancy is seeking a confident GIS Specialist to join their London team on a 6-month contract. You will manage geospatial data, produce high-quality maps, and lead spatial analysis across multidisciplinary teams.

The role offers hybrid working, a collaborative studio culture, and the chance to work on high-profile international projects. Candidates should have 3–5 years in GIS, strong QGIS and Python skills, and a degree in GIS or related discipline.

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in a GIS or Geospatial role
Proficient in QGIS and Python
Experience managing cloud-based GIS databases and spatial datasets
Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Degree qualified in GIS, Geomatics, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline
Experience with GIS within wayfinding highly advantageous
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit or web mapping technologies would be advantageous, along with an interest in the built environment and user-focused design

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain geospatial datasets to support mapping and network analysis.
Produce clear, accurate and visually engaging map outputs for both print and digital applications.
Integrate data from multiple sources into well-structured GIS databases.
Build, maintain and organise cloud-based geospatial data, ensuring appropriate permissions and accessibility.
Establish logical data structures, naming conventions and best practices for project information.
Collaborate with designers and project teams to understand spatial data requirements.
Support efficient GIS workflows across multiple projects and stakeholders.
