Job summary

The Treasury Settlements Team at Mizuho EMEA handles the timely confirmation and settlement of FX and Money Market trades for our clients and counterparties across the EMEA region. The Analyst will work under pressure, ensuring accuracy, compliance with procedures, and effective client-facing communication.

Qualifications

• Experience of FX & MM Settlements and confirmations including CLS.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player with ability to work independently.
• Flexibility to cover across roles within Settlements.
• Experience within Investment Banking Operations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily duties in operations services outsourced from EMEA offices.
• Investigate FX/MM cash breaks; contact clients to resolve promptly.
• Identify mismatches; escalate as needed.
• Respond to internal and client queries with good client experience.
• Operate within defined controls and proactively address risks.
• Investigate discrepancies with custodians and follow up on resolutions.
• Participate in new initiatives impacting the business.
• Report to Team Leader and ensure processes are followed.
• Identify and resolve errors to ensure timely settlement.
• Provide holiday coverage as defined by line-manager.
• Cross-train across roles within the team as per skills matrix.
• Ensure timely booking and settlement of all related FX/MM trades.
