Job summary

Mizuho EMEA in the United Kingdom is seeking an Analyst for DCS - Securities Listed & FX Derivatives Operations. You will support the timely confirmation and settlement of DCS products, with a focus on FX derivatives, following established procedures and contributing to the day-to-day running of the team.

The role offers a competitive starting salary with a discretionary bonus, a non-contributory pension, 27 days’ annual leave, core hours, and hybrid working (office and home).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs (including Maths and English) plus at least 2 A levels or BTEC equivalent.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Collaborative nature to contribute to a successful team performance.
• High level of computer literacy particularly in Microsoft Office products.
• Great organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the timely confirmation and settlement of all DCS products within the timeline set by management and working in full compliance within Head Office and Internal Operating Procedures.
• Engage in cross training and self-development in order to gain a good operational knowledge of all DCS products with particular focus on FX derivatives.
• Cover departmental ad-hoc tasks when required.
• Identify and escape to Team Leader and/or Section Head immediately any potential operational difficulties.
• Adherence and compliance with the Quality Management System.
• Identify and report any issues to senior management promptly and work to resolve the issue.
• Constant reviews of current processes and where possible suggest improvements
• Ensure effective communication, both verbal and via email, is delivered in a concise and timely manner.
