Job summary

Gen II Fund Services in Southampton is seeking a junior fund accountant to support the preparation of financial statements under IFRS, record journal entries, and assist with investor reporting.

You will work under a line manager, mentor juniors, and coordinate with auditors; ACCA/ACA studies and 1–2 years of accounting experience are ideal. The role offers hybrid working in our Southampton office, with exposure to FIS Investran and strong Excel requirements.

Qualifications

• Actively studying towards ACCA or ACA.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with FIS Private Capital Suite (Investran) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Record journal entries for fund transactions.
• Reconcile bank accounts and investment balances.
• Maintain the general ledger.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and investor reports.
• Support Fund NAV packs and working papers.
• Coordinate with auditors during year‑end audits.
• Process capital calls and distributions.
• Respond to investor queries.
• Assist with fee computations (management fees, carried interest).
• Operate within an ISAE 3402 controls environment.
• Liaise with external contacts and contribute to ad hoc projects.
