Job summary

Gen II Southampton is seeking an experienced fund reporting accountant to deliver financial statements for a major private equity client across funds and entities. You will prepare annual statements under UK GAAP/IFRS/US GAAP, with quarterly reports and NAV packs, review journals, and coordinate with auditors.

You will mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with deadlines and ISAE controls. The role requires ACCA/ACA or equivalent, 2–3 years’ accounting experience in financial services

Qualifications

• Experience producing financial statements under UK GAAP, IFRS or US GAAP.
• Ability to coach and develop junior staff.
• Strong Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual financial statements for private equity funds and related entities under major GAAP.
• Prepare quarterly fund financial statements and investor capital accounts.
• Review journals and maintain general ledgers.
• Compile working papers and NAV packs for financial statements.
• Liaise with auditors and ensure deadlines are met.
• Assist with drawdown, equalisation and distribution files.
• Analyse transaction documentation and fund fee computations.
• Supervise and develop junior accountants and trainees.
