Job summary

IntaPeople Limited is recruiting a Full Stack Software Engineer for a product-focused team investing in modern software engineering practices, including AI-assisted development.

You will shape backend services and APIs while contributing across the stack, collaborating with Product, QA and Design to deliver meaningful outcomes, and mentoring peers as you help drive engineering best practices in a hybrid Leeds-based setup.

Qualifications

• Strong Java development experience with backend services and APIs.
• Experience delivering solutions across backend and frontend technologies.
• Quality-first approach including automated testing and code reviews.
• Strong communication and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Experience influencing technical decisions and engineering best practices.
• Exposure to React, Angular or Vue.
• Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines and modern delivery practices.
• Exposure to distributed systems, microservices or event-driven architectures.
• Mentoring or coaching other engineers.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test and deliver software from concept through to production.
• Develop backend services and APIs with a strong focus on quality and maintainability.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
• Work closely with Product, QA and Design teams to solve real customer problems.
• Using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot alongside modern engineering practices to support the delivery of high-quality software.
• Driving engineering excellence through testing, code reviews and continuous improvement.
• Supporting and mentoring other engineers through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
