Job summary

IntaPeople Limited is recruiting a Full Stack Software Engineer for a product-focused team investing in modern software engineering practices, including AI-assisted development.

You will shape backend services and APIs while contributing across the stack, collaborating with Product, QA and Design to deliver meaningful outcomes, and mentoring peers as you help drive engineering best practices in a hybrid Leeds-based setup.

Job description

We are currently supporting a product-focused organisation that is investing heavily in modern software engineering practices, including AI-assisted development and spec-driven engineering.

They're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join a highly collaborative team where engineers are encouraged to influence technical decisions, contribute to architecture discussions, and help shape how software is built. This is an environment where engineering judgement is valued, ownership is encouraged, and teams are focused on delivering meaningful outcomes rather than simply completing tasks.

This role would suit an engineer who enjoys working across the full software development lifecycle, with a particular focus on backend engineering while contributing across the wider technology stack.

What we're looking for

• Strong Java development experience, with a proven track record of building backend services and APIs

• Exposure to modern frontend technologies such as React, Angular or Vue
• Experience working with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices
• Exposure to distributed systems, microservices or event-driven architectures
• Experience mentoring, coaching or supporting the development of other engineers
• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor or similar technologies.

Additional Information

• Immediate availability or up to 2 weeks' notice preferred
• Hybrid working model (Leeds office every Tuesday and Thursday)
• Initial contract running until December 2026 with potential for extension
