Stirling Dynamics in Bristol is seeking an experienced Flight Control Systems Engineer to join our Systems & Safety team, delivering high-integrity control solutions for civil aerospace and eVTOL projects.

The role offers hybrid working, occasional travel to client sites, and responsibilities spanning requirements analysis, system design, certification activities, and technical leadership within cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in a related discipline.
• Experience with DO-178B/DO-254 and system certification.
• Knowledge of ARP4754 and requirements management.

Responsibilities

• Lead task identification and definition within the project.
• Engage with customers to understand requirements and deliver results.
• Support design, development & certification activities including V&V.
• Prepare and check documentation for the design process.
• Attend and support design reviews and certification planning.
• Lead technical reviews and prepare proposals.
