Job summary

Stirling Dynamics Ltd in the United Kingdom is recruiting an experienced Flight Control Systems Engineer to join our Systems & Safety team supporting civil aerospace and eVTOL projects. The role offers hybrid working and occasional travel to client sites as required.

You will lead delivery of systems engineering tasks, engage with customers to capture requirements, support design, V&V, certification activities, and contribute to safety case work across fixed/rotary wing platforms.

Qualifications

• Candidates ideally degree qualified in a related discipline.
• Experience with DO-178B/DO-254 software/hardware design.
• Knowledge of ARP4754 guidelines for civil aircraft development.
• Familiar with industry specs such as RTCA/SAE/ARINC and DOORS/Jama/Polarion/Cameo workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead task identification and definition within project context.
• Engage with customers to capture technical requirements and deliver results.
• Support design, development & certification activities including V&V.
• Prepare and review documentation for the design process and design reviews.
• Support certification planning, test analysis and documentation.
