Job summary

W Talent is recruiting a suitably experienced Financial Accountant for an operational accounting remit with end-to-end month end in a manufacturing environment. The role is hybrid, with two days on-site near Cardiff.

Key duties include month end close, balance sheet reconciliations, journals, analytical reviews of P&L, fixed assets, VAT/tax, payroll, AP/AR oversight, and maintaining internal controls. IFRS compliance and process automation are part of the focus.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent.
• 3+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with manufacturing accounting is beneficial.
• Excellent operational accountancy skills.
• Process optimisation experience.

Responsibilities

• Month End Close
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Journal Entries
• Analytical reviews of P&L and balance sheet performance
• Fixed Asset management
• VAT and tax accounting
• Payroll accounting
• AP & AR oversight
• Internal controls
• Collaborate with Tax, Treasury and Group Reporting
• Ensure IFRS compliance
• Drive process improvement and automation (e.g., cut month end from 8 to 5 days)
