Job summary

Rullion Ltd is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and deliver multi-disciplinary water and infrastructure projects across the UK. Hybrid work arrangement with two days from home and base options at listed offices, including Chester.

You will provide technical governance, mentor engineers, manage resources and budgets, and foster client relationships while championing safety, quality and sustainability across project teams.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in civil engineering, infrastructure or water sector project delivery.
• Strong technical knowledge across water and wastewater treatment assets, pipelines, pumping stations and associated infrastructure.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams within a consultancy or contractor environment.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical governance, design assurance and engineering oversight.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience.
• Experience managing project resources, budgets and delivery programmes.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
• A strong understanding of British Standards, water industry standards and engineering best practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multi-disciplinary engineering teams delivering projects across the water and infrastructure sectors.
• Provide technical leadership and governance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring quality, safety and compliance requirements are met.
• Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, reports and technical documentation.
• Act as Technical Lead or Design Lead on major projects and frameworks.
• Support the planning, resourcing and delivery of projects to programme, budget and quality objectives.
• Develop strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
• Drive collaboration across disciplines to deliver integrated, best-for-project solutions.
• Mentor, coach and develop engineers at all levels, supporting technical excellence and career progression.
• Support business development activities, proposal preparation and client engagement opportunities.
• Promote innovation, continuous improvement and the application of industry best practice.
• Champion a strong culture of safety, quality and sustainability across project teams.
