Job summary

EP UK Investments Ltd is recruiting a Senior Settlements Analyst to lead the GB Settlements operation, ensuring accurate and timely settlement across electricity, gas, carbon, and related activities. The role combines hands-on BAU work with senior ownership, coaching, and project delivery.

You will work with Trading, Commercial Finance and external resources, owning key settlement calculations and controls, while supporting new commercial arrangements and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in settlements, trading operations or similar control environment.
• Experience owning complex operational processes, calculations and controls.
• Experience with reconciliations, invoicing and resolving discrepancies.
• Proven coaching and leadership of a small team; strong stakeholder management.
• Experience delivering process improvements and projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day GB Settlements operation, prioritise workload and escalation.
• Deliver core BAU settlement activity including trade checks, confirmations and month-end processes.
• Own settlement calculations, controls and exception reviews across electricity, gas, carbon, and BESS.
• Investigate discrepancies and coordinate with internal teams and counterparties.
• Lead on GB Trading credit and collateral activities for existing and new counterparties.
• Oversee settlement implementation for new trading structures and arrangements.
• Utilise ETRM system for GB Settlements, ensure accurate positions and downstream processing.
• Coach and develop the GB Settlements Analyst with documentation of processes.
• Work with data and development resources to define rules, controls and automation.
• Drive continuous improvement in settlement processes and reporting.
• Maintain stakeholder and counterparty relationships and support regulatory reporting.
