Job summary

HW Finance in Leeds seeks a Senior Settlements Analyst to own settlements across electricity, gas, carbon and emerging energy products within our finance team. You will drive automation and improve controls while collaborating with trading, finance and external counterparties.

You will lead day-to-day operations, oversee reconciliations and month-end activities, and coach junior team members to strengthen capabilities and performance across the function.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and numerical capabilities.
• Experience with reconciliations, controls and complex operational processes.
• Proven track record in process improvement and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day settlements operations and act as primary escalation point.
• Oversee reconciliations, invoicing, trade checks and month-end activities.
• Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies.
• Support credit and collateral management activities.
• Drive process improvements, automation projects and operational enhancements.
• Act as SME across settlement calculations, controls and market processes.
• Coach and develop junior team members.
