Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Configuration Engineer to join the RATs Design Integrity team in Edinburgh. The role focuses on embedding configuration across the product lifecycle, ensuring governance and compliance while supporting documentation, hardware changes, and TRB processes.

Hybrid work from Edinburgh is offered. The role requires BPSS/NSV considerations; strong attention to detail and experience in configuration engineering are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in configuration engineering.
• 2+ years in manufacturing engineering is preferred.
• Good technical knowledge and attention to detail.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills and compliance experience.
• Security clearances (BPSS/NSV) may apply.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify documentation for progression under guidelines.
• Manage the approval and updates of documentation.
• Record, distribute and control documentation from internal/external parties.
• Manage processing of Problem Reports and Change Requests from initiation to final disposition.
• Oversee trials modifications and capture results of investigations.
• Collate Change Impact assessments from the Technical Review Board.
• Support the Change Initiator and TRB and route changes via fast-track if criteria met.
• Prepare agendas, call and chair the CRB (Configuration Review Board).
• Arrange POE changes and decide Change Classification.
• Implement and coordinate changes into design and physical products.
