Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Configuration Engineer to join the RATs Design Integrity team in Edinburgh. You will learn and apply configuration management across the full product lifecycle, supporting engineers and providing governance for documentation, hardware changes, and compliance. The role is hybrid with Edinburgh site-based work.

The position emphasizes collaboration with engineers, handling TRB inputs, CRBs, and POE changes while ensuring regulatory alignment and lifecycle coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience in Configuration Engineering or similar role.
• Manufacturing engineering background preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge and problem solving.
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience with compliance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide Configuration Management support to engineers and advise on best practice.
• Review and verify documentation per guidelines and manage approvals.
• Record, distribute and control documentation from internal/external parties.
• Oversee processing of Problem Reports and Change Requests from initiation to disposition.
• Collate Change Impact assessments from TRB and support fast-track routing.
• Prepare agenda, call and chair the CRB (Configuration Review Boards).
• Arrange Point of Embodiment changes and determine Change Classification.
• Coordinate integration into design and physical products.
