Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking an EMC Engineer to join the Radar and Advanced Targeting line in Edinburgh. You will contribute to EMC modelling, testing, and qualification across the product lifecycle within a UKAS accredited facility.

You will work with engineers to apply MIL-STD-461, DO-160 and DEF-STAN 59-411, supporting radiated and conducted tests and continuous improvement of test methods. Hybrid working in the UK is available.

Qualifications

Solid technical foundation in EMC engineering and willingness to learn
Experience or training in EMC test planning and reporting
Familiarity with defence/aerospace EMC standards (e.g., MIL-STD-461, DO-160)
Ability to work in a UKAS accredited EMC facility and support testing

Responsibilities

Develop EMC modelling and analysis capabilities in a team
Provide EMC support to project teams with modelling and test data
Contribute to compliance with MIL-STD-461, DO-160, and DEF-STAN 59-411 standards
Assist with EMC testing across radiated and conducted emissions and susceptibility tests
Support pre‑compliance activities through to formal qualification testing
