Job summary

Wirral Council is inviting applications for an Early Years SEND Intervention Worker. The role supports children under 5 with SEND, delivering early intervention through home visits and hub-based activities, and working in a hybrid model between locality hubs and community settings.

The post requires collaboration with families and professionals, a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and SEND code of practice, and a commitment to inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young children in home or setting.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and SEND code of practice.
• Ability to work in partnership with children, families and other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Support children and parents with activities that support development using the small steps approach.
• Deliver services through home visits and group interventions in community settings.
• Work across Locality Family Hubs and community to support transitions.
