Job summary

Early Years intervention Worker – SEND
About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity to become part of the vibrant Early Years SEND team, in the role of Early Years SEND Intervention Worker. The postholder will be responsible for supporting children and their parents with activities that support a child's development, using the small steps approach. In this role, you will work hybrid between Locality Family Hubs and the community.

The Early Years SEND Early Intervention Team provides early intervention for children under 5 years with diagnosed or emerging SEND. We offer a flexible service through home visits and group interventions, working alongside families, early years settings and partner agencies to support children’s learning, development, and successful transitions. Our Early Intervention workers will also play a vital part in our Best Start in Life initiative providing early joined up community support through the hubs providing early intervention and guidance.

About the Candidate:

We are looking for someone with an excellent ability to work in partnership with children and their families, including other professionals involved with supporting children with interventions. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of working with young children in either their home or settings. Commitment to inclusive practices and a good level of knowledge and understanding of the Early Years foundation stage and SEND code of practice is essential.
