Job summary

HealthHero, based in Glasgow, is seeking fully qualified Counsellors/ Psychotherapists for our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) on a part-time basis, with in-office HQ work in Glasgow. You will deliver short-term confidential counselling, manager support and crisis care via telephone/video, with a range of shift patterns.

You’ll hold professional qualifications (L4+) with BACP/COSCA registration, have strong IT and English language skills, and manage a clinical caseload while upholding

Qualifications

• Professional qualifications as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist (L4+ with BACP/COSCA registration).
• Experience in EAP/Telephone Counselling or time-limited assessment; comprehensive training provided.
• Good IT skills with MS Office, and proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong clinical background with excellent assessment skills.
• Ability to make sound clinical decisions while maintaining boundaries.
• Team player with strong time management, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out initial clinical assessments and triaging client needs, directing individuals to appropriate clinical pathways.
• Delivering support via booked assessment appointments, in-the-moment support, or booked single sessions by telephone or video.
• Carrying out Risk Assessments and following safeguarding and risk protocol.
• Managing a caseload of clients requiring structured counselling, depending on contractual hours and service needs.
