Job summary

HealthHero in Glasgow is seeking fully qualified Counsellor or Psychotherapist to join the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Clinical Team on a part-time basis, based in-office at our HQ in Glasgow.

You will deliver confidential short-term counselling, risk assessments, and triage, with a mix of in-person, telephone and video sessions. Training and supervision are provided, plus a comprehensive benefits package and flexible shift patterns.

Qualifications

• Professional qualifications as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist (L4+ in Counselling) with registered status (BACP/COSCA or similar).
• Experience in EAP/Telephone Counselling or short-term assessment is advantageous.
• Good IT skills with Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong clinical background with solid assessment skills.
• Ability to make sound clinical decisions while maintaining boundaries.
• Excellent time management, teamwork and organisation.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out initial clinical assessments and triage client needs via assessments, telephone or video sessions.
• Perform risk assessments and follow safeguarding protocols.
• Manage a caseload of clients needing structured counselling per contracted hours.
