Job summary

WSP is seeking a Digital Engineer to join the Roads team across London, Cambridge, Basingstoke, Guildford or Southampton. You’ll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary group to enhance highway design and infrastructure delivery, using advanced digital tools and data-driven approaches.

Bring experience with Python, C++, Dynamo, Azure, Power Platform, and BIM/CDE workflows to develop reusable tools, automate workflows and boost design efficiency across projects.

Qualifications

• Understanding of highway engineering principles.
• Knowledge of standards such as DMRB, Manual for Streets, TSRGD and local guidance.
• Experience with MS Excel and data handling systems.
• Strong communication with clients, developers, consultants, and public stakeholders.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver highway and infrastructure solutions.
• Deliver engineering outputs for projects with varying scale and complexity.
• Apply digital tools and automation to improve delivery and efficiency.
• Improve design quality, coordination and carbon performance through digital methods.
• Develop reusable digital tools, scripts, templates and documentation.
• Support carbon measurement and digital delivery within BIM/CDE environments.
