Job summary

World Class Defence Organisation is seeking a Network Engineer subcontractor for an initial 12-month contract, based at Stevenage. DV security clearance is required.

The role is hybrid, onsite 4 days per week with 1 day remote from home, 8 hours per day between 07:00–19:00. The position covers management of network infrastructure, security and services UK-wide with some international scope, and involves collaboration with partners, suppliers and the Security team to ensure reliable, secure

Qualifications

• Career background in information technology.
• Crypto experience and best practices.
• Knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Center and ISE; Cisco best practices.
• Knowledge of the OSI model.
• Experience with networking protocols including OSPF/BGP, HTTP/S, TCP/IP.
• Experience with Windows Server/AD, Linux, RHEL and VMware/vSphere.
• Able to work under pressure and document management.
• Exposure to SDA principles and deployments.
• Authentication services experience.
• Network cabling fundamentals.
• Monitoring tools like Nagios/PRTG/SolarWinds.
• CCNA/CCNP would be great.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated support at Stevenage site, ensuring delivery of DEx Network service.
• Own remediation of identified issues and risks.
• Assist with support of DEx Networks initiatives.
• Build relationships with partners and external suppliers to optimise service levels.
• Engage with the Security team to develop Security Reporting and risk analysis.
• Collaborate with the Service Manager and DEx Network Service team to meet requirements.
• Collaborate with the DEx Networks Crypto Network Specialist regarding crypto management and support.
