Job summary

Frazer-Nash Consultancy is seeking a Systems Engineering Consultant to support the BAE Systems Delivery Portfolio and other defence programmes. You will deliver consultancy on systems engineering challenges, MBSE and solution architecture across client sites, with a hybrid working pattern.

The role requires a degree in Engineering or related discipline, experience with MBSE tools (Cameo, Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody) and strong problem-solving plus communication skills; involvement in bids,

Qualifications

• A Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in a Systems Engineering related role.
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering in Cameo, Enterprise Architect or Rhapsody.
• Understanding of engineering processes and lifecycles (ISO 15288 etc.)
• Experience with Systems Engineering established Requirements Management toolsets (IBM DOORS, DOORS Next etc.), Cameo, Enterprise Architect Rhapsody, etc.
• Complex problem-solving skills;
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consultancy on systems engineering challenges, digital modelling, and solution architecture.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements, define problems, and shape solutions that align with business and operational objectives.
• Develop and maintain close client relationships, ensuring long-term collaboration and strategic advisory support
• Support bids and proposals by providing technically credible, commercially viable solutions.
• Support systems lifecycle management, overseeing key processes such as requirements engineering, verification & validation, and system integration.
• Facilitate workshops and technical discussions, ensuring alignment between engineering teams and business objectives.
