Job summary

Havebury Housing Partnership is seeking a Data Protection Coordinator to support the Data Protection Officer in maintaining UK GDPR compliance. You will handle DSARs, manage records, and assist with DPIAs and related processes.

The role offers hybrid working from home and our office in Bury St Edmunds, with a 37-hour week and a generous annual leave policy. A solid background in data protection is essential.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of UK GDPR and data protection principles.
• Experience managing DSARs from start to finish, including tool use.
• Experience handling sensitive information securely within systems.
• Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day administration of DSARs from logging to deadlines.
• Review documents and apply redactions per exemptions and guidance.
• Assist the DPO with DSAR review and responses.
• Collaborate across teams to gather information for DSAR responses.
• Use eDiscovery and DSAR tools to search, review and redact.
• Maintain data protection logs and registers and keep them updated.
• Monitor the Data Protection inbox and prioritise items for DPO.
• Prepare folders and flag missed items to the DPO.
