Job summary

Havebury Homes is seeking a Data Protection Coordinator to work with the Data Protection Officer, helping UK GDPR compliance by handling DSARs and supporting DPIAs. You will collaborate across teams to gather information, review documents and maintain protection logs.

The role offers hybrid working from home and our office in Bury St Edmunds, a 37-hour week, 28–32 days leave, a pension scheme, life assurance, yearly flu jab, EV salary sacrifice, and a competitive medical cashback plan.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of UK GDPR and data protection principles.
• Experience managing DSARs from start to finish.
• Experience handling sensitive and confidential information securely.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• A degree, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Support DSAR administration from logging to deadlines and records.
• Review documents and apply redactions per UK GDPR exemptions.
• Assist the DPO with DSAR review and response preparation.
• Collaborate with teams to gather information for DSAR responses.
• Use eDiscovery/DSAR tools to search, review and redact documents.
• Maintain data protection logs and registers (breach, DPIA, DSAR).
• Monitor the Data Protection inbox and categorize emails.
• Identify priority items and escalate to the DPO as needed.
• Prepare folders and flag missing items for the DPO.
