Job summary

Recruit with Purpose is seeking a Data Governance Manager in the Midlands on a hybrid basis. You will implement and embed a Data Governance Framework and Operating Model, build Data Owner and Data Steward communities, and work with broader Data & Analytics to improve data quality and governance across the business.

You will engage with stakeholders outside the data team to drive data ownership and literacy, shaping policies, metadata, catalogues, and AI governance as the role develops.

Qualifications

• Been responsible for developing or implementing a Data Governance Framework.
• Experience across Data Ownership, Stewardship, Data Quality, metadata or data cataloguing.
• Experience with Azure or Microsoft Fabric or BI tools would be useful.

Responsibilities

• Develop and embed the Data Governance Framework and Operating Model.
• Establish Data Owner and Data Steward communities and drive accountability.
• Create Data Governance forums and communities to engage the business.
• Develop meaningful Data Quality measures and address root causes of data issues.
• Improve metadata, data cataloguing and the business glossary.
• Develop governance policies, standards and controls.
• Promote Data Literacy across the organisation and confidence in data.
• Help establish governance around AI and emerging technologies.
