EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Data & AI Engineer in the UK to design and deliver advanced data solutions on modern cloud platforms. You will build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, enable ML feature engineering and govern data quality across enterprise-scale systems.

You will partner with data scientists to deploy AI models and implement GenAI-assisted workflows, focusing on reliability, performance and security in a hybrid environment.

Formación

• Minimum 8+ years in data engineering with proven architecture and leadership experience.
• Strong SQL performance tuning for large-scale data systems.
• Proficient Python used in data engineering workflows.
• Experience with PySpark for distributed processing and Databricks.
• Hands-on with Delta Lake and data-warehouse modernization on cloud platforms.
• Orchestrating pipelines with Azure Data Factory and related tooling.
• Experience deploying ML features and models with CI/CD and MLOps practices.
• GenAI-assisted development workflows for accelerating tasks are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement robust data architectures on cloud-native platforms.
• Build large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines for heterogeneous datasets.
• Create data models optimized for AI/ML pipelines.
• Develop streaming and batch pipelines, optimize performance and cost.
• Operationalize ML solutions with feature stores, model registries, and endpoints.
• Collaborate with data scientists to deploy and monitor AI models in production.
• Enforce data governance, lineage, cataloging and quality across platforms.
• Mentor engineering teams in advanced data and AI practices.
