Job summary

Vincere is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join our IT team in a hybrid role based in Dartford. You will protect critical systems across on-prem and cloud environments and lead security projects to improve the organisation's security posture.

You will implement and manage security tools such as EDR and SIEM, perform risk assessments, and deliver security awareness training. Collaboration with IT, development and third parties is essential to embed security in projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in cyber security engineering or similar role.
• Strong understanding of network, infrastructure and application security.
• Hands-on with security tools across on-prem and cloud.
• Experience with risk assessments and incident response.
• Cloud security and IAM experience welcome.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support IT security projects with secure delivery.
• Manage cyber security tools across on-prem and cloud environments; focus on cloud.
• Configure and update security solutions (EDR, SIEM, vulnerability mgmt, IAM).
• Collaborate with IT, dev and third parties to embed security.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans and OSINT investigations.
• Monitor threats and CVEs; perform root-cause analysis of incidents.
• Deliver security awareness training and guidance on new tech and initiatives.
• Support SOC alerts, investigations and change control processes.
