Job summary

The role focuses on implementing and improving security controls, monitoring threats, and supporting vulnerability remediation, with a hybrid working pattern and a strong emphasis on practical cyber risk reduction.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 security controls.
• Experience with Defender technologies including Defender for Endpoint.
• Experience supporting vulnerability management and remediation.
• Knowledge of security monitoring, incident response and investigations.
• Experience configuring security controls across cloud, endpoint and identity platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver security projects and initiatives across the Cyber Security Roadmap.
• Manage and enhance Microsoft Defender, Intune, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 security controls.
• Improve security across endpoints, identities, applications, cloud services, and infrastructure.
• Support vulnerability identification, prioritisation, and remediation.
• Monitor security alerts and support incident investigation and response.
• Work with IT teams to resolve vulnerabilities, security weaknesses, and configuration issues.
• Maintain effective security controls and support Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus, and CIS Controls.
• Produce clear technical documentation and security procedures.
• Identify opportunities to automate security processes and improve efficiency.
