Job summary

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Creative Content Producer to join the Communications team in Oldbury. This full-time, permanent role focuses on creating engaging content for children and education campaigns across video, photography, graphics and copy.

The position offers a hybrid work model: three days in the office and two days at home. You will develop digital content, craft social media posts, and support campaigns aligned with council priorities, with a 37-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Diploma level or equivalent experience.
• Experience creating content for digital and/or traditional channels.
• Strong portfolio in one or more creative disciplines (graphic design, videography, photography, animation, web design or copywriting).
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and social media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality content for Children and Education campaigns across video, photography, graphics and copy.
• Develop content for digital channels including websites, newsletters and social media.
• Produce videos, reels and visual content to tell stories and convey key messages.
• Draft social posts and respond to enquiries with accurate information.
• Write compelling copy to inform audiences and encourage use of services.
• Contribute ideas to improve campaign effectiveness and audience engagement.
• Analyse campaign performance and audience insights to guide future activity.
• Produce reports evaluating reach, effectiveness and impact.
• Provide guidance to colleagues on content creation and audience engagement.
• Support equality, diversity and inclusion through communications.
