Job summary
Te-Tech in Southampton is seeking a Control Panel Test Engineer to join our workshop-based team near Totton. You’ll inspect, test and verify panels, MCCs and automation systems to ensure safety, functionality and compliance with BS EN 61439-2.
You’ll perform insulation resistance, continuity, and functional tests, document results, and support FATs with clients. A strong background in electrical engineering and hands-on testing is required.
Qualifications
- NVQ/HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of BS EN 61439-2 testing and verification requirements.
- Electrical safety training including safe isolation practices.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and GA drawings.
- Experience testing control panels and MCCs in manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, test and verify control panels, MCCs and automation systems.
- Perform insulation, continuity, polarity and functional tests.
- Set up test equipment and document results for handover to clients.
- Support FATs with clients and inspectors and assist fault-finding.
- Maintain test records and ensure compliance with IEC/BS standards.
