Job summary

Kendra Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced full-time BMS Control Panel Technician to join our engineering team, covering London and the southeast. The role focuses on on-site upgrades of BMS controllers, modifying control panels and MCCs, wiring and testing, with a strong emphasis on fault-finding and independent work.

The ideal candidate will read electrical schematics, have strong on-site experience, and hold relevant qualifications including 18th Edition and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Wiring and modifying electrical control panels.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematic drawings.
• Experience on live site installations and panel modifications.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication with customers.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification (desirable).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Experience in Building Management Systems (BMS) or industrial automation (advantageous).
• AutoCAD or electrical drawing experience (advantageous).
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out on-site upgrades of BMS controllers.
• Modifying existing control panels and MCCs for new BMS installations.
• Wiring and terminating control equipment from schematic drawings.
• Cable numbering, loom construction and crimping.
• Electrical testing and fault finding.
• Diagnosing and resolving wiring issues within existing panels.
• Producing or updating record drawings (AutoCAD experience advantageous).
• Collaborating with commissioning engineers and project teams to deliver upgrades.
