Job summary

McLaughlin & Harvey is seeking a Contractual Advisor to enhance our construction team across high-value UK and Ireland projects. The role focuses on providing contractual advice, reviewing and negotiating contracts, and supporting project teams to manage risk and ensure best practices in contract administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in law or a construction-related field (e.g., QS, Civil Engineering, Project Management).
• Working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
• Construction-law qualification (ICE LCMC or similar) would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate main contract amendments.
• Assist project team in negotiating subcontract terms and conditions.
• Advise on how main contract/subcontract operates.
• Provide ad hoc support on contractual matters.
• Prepare and deliver training seminars on standard forms and amended contract terms.
