Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting partners with a South Devon employer to recruit an Interim Finance Analyst for a 7-month fixed-term contract based in Newton Abbot with hybrid/onsite options. The role focuses on data-driven financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reporting to support senior management.

The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or have substantial vocational experience, with strong Excel skills and experience with digital accounting systems.

Qualifications

• Qualified or demonstrable vocational finance experience.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset.
• Familiar with digital accounting systems and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes and reports.
• Provide analysis of current and future financial performance.
• Produce cash-flow reports with insights for management.
• Collaborate with senior management and external stakeholders.
• Assist in accounting information for quarterly and year-end reviews.
• Report on actual vs budget, margin variance and profitability.
• Monitor KPI variance and support ad-hoc accounting projects.
