Job summary

MERJE is recruiting for a Compliance Business Partner in South Yorkshire, hybrid, to support a growing consumer credit business. You will work with stakeholders to ensure FCA alignment, focusing on CONC, Consumer Duty, promotions reviews, and regulatory risk across the organisation.

The role requires hands-on experience in consumer credit compliance, horizon scanning, and the ability to provide practical regulatory guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience working within consumer credit / lending
• Strong working knowledge of CONC
• Experience carrying out regulatory horizon scanning
• Experience reviewing and approving financial promotions and customer-facing communications
• Good understanding of Consumer Duty
• Experience supporting compliance monitoring and/or outcome testing
• Some exposure to AML / Financial Crime
• The confidence to provide practical regulatory advice to stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and written communication skills
• The ability to manage your own workload and work independently

Responsibilities

• Provide practical compliance support and help ensure FCA alignment across the business
• Work with stakeholders to assess regulatory requirements and implement controls
• Review and approve financial promotions and customer communications
• Support Consumer Duty initiatives and customer outcomes
• Assist with compliance monitoring and outcome testing and regulatory risk identification
• Provide regulatory guidance to colleagues and maintain up-to-date policies and procedures
• Engage with AML/Financial Crime topics as required
